Abstract The present work deals mainly with the lithostratigraphy, biostratigraphy, systematic classification and description of both planktonic and benthonic foraminifera and paleoenvronments of the subsurface Upper Cretaceous sediments of GPH well no. 1, Abu Sennan area, Western Desert, Egypt. The total thinckness of the studied section is 1777 m, ranging in depth from 1536 m to 3489 m (T. D.), and including about 318 ditch samples and only 3 available core samples. These samples were Provided by the General petroleum Company (GPC). |
