Abstract
Instructors aim to transmit their knowledge to students so that they acquire certain accepted and shared concepts. However, what students actually understand is sometimes different. Web-based Exam Management System is an educational software containing a valiable components to help the instructor when teaching. Web-based Examination Management Systems are an effective solution for mass education evaluation. We have developed an online examination system based on a Clinet/Server framework which carries out the examination and grading for students exams. This system could help lecturers, instructors, teachers and others who are willing to create new exams or edit existing ones as well as students participating in the exams. The system has been built using Web technology. Various open source technologies AJAX, PHP, HTML and MYSQL database are used in this system. A grading system is built to enable different exam and question types. The aims of this this thesis are to develop a web-based examination system using object oriented and to achieve the exam quality assurance specification by measuring the skill of each question
