Abstract Objectives: • Reduce the amount of irrigation water used to irrigate crops through the provision of linen, one of the irrigations with no prejudice to the amount of crop and quality. • Use the best genotypes of flax, which helps to increase productivity in terms of quantity and quality. Methods & Results: Two field experiments were carried out at the Experiments farm Sakha Agricultural Research Station, Kafr El-Sheikh ARC, during the two seasons 2006/2007 - 2007/2008, To study the performance of some flax genotypes under drought stress at different growth stages and their impact on growth, yield and quality. The experiments were laid out in split plot design with four replications, The main plots were allocated with four drought stress at different growth stage : 1- Skip-irrigation during stem elongation (41 DAS). 2- Skip-irrigation during the apical branching (64 DAS). 3- Skip-irrigation during flowering (83 DAS). 4- Skip-irrigation during the seed filling (114 DAS). The sub-plots were occupied with the following genotypes. Ilona, Sakha 3, Giza 8, Strain 16, Sakha 1, Sakha 2. The plot area was 62 (2 X3). Studied characters: (A) Growth analysis. (B) Straw yield and its related characters. (C) Seed yield and its related characters. (D) Fiber yield and its quality. Based on the results of this study and under these circumstances, skip- irrigation during seed filling (114 days from planting) does not affect on yield of flax Conclusion: Based on the results of this study and under these circumstances, it can be concluded that the skip- irrigation during seed filling (114 days from planting) does not affect on yield of flax and can thus provide one of the irrigations after the end of the flowering stage. Also recommended the Strain 16 in the case of agriculture for the production of oil and product Ilona in the case of agriculture for the production of fiber. |
