Abstract

Soil pollution with heavy metals is one of the most reasons which causes chemical degradation of soil. Intensive industrial activities have resulted in the accumulation of high concentrations of heavy metals and toxic elements in the soil environment causing serious soci-economic problems . The aims of this study is firstly monitoring and evaluation of heavy metals pollution status in irrigation water, soils and growing plants in certain farm located in 10 th of Ramadan irrigated with mixture of sewage waste water and industrial waste water for 15years ago. ,secondly is carring out field d experiment in this farm with wheat plant for evaluation of some conditioners application (PAM with rate 0.2%, EDTA with rate 3 mmol/kg, DFH with rate 3 mmol/kg, (PAM + EDTA), (PAM + DFH), (PAM + DFH), (PAM + EDTA + DFH) and (DFH + EDTA)) to remedy pollution of soil by heavy metals. This study indicates that after irrigation of soil with this water for 15 years the studied soil was light polluted, the most effective treatment in reducing heavy metals in soil and increasing wheat yield is (PAM + EDTA + DFH) and less effective treatment in reducing heavy metals in soil and increasing wheat yield is PAM.
