Abstract
primary osteoarthrosis of the knee joint were studdied, taking in consideration the different aetiological factors such as age, sex, occupation, weight, circulatory changes, etc .•• cases out of 400 cases were selected as complaining of venous type of pain. Intra-osseous venography was done in such 110 cases and the result was positive in all as regards subchon¬dral sinusoidal engorgement and dilated extra-esseous veins. _ Upper tibial osteotomy was performed in 55 cases with a satisfactory results in 52 cases. The advantages and disadvantages were discussed. _ Acrylic Medullary plugging was done in 35 cases with a satisfactory results of 30 cases. _ Cortical fenestration was performed in 20 cases, 16 cases gave a satisfactory results.
