Abstract We aimed to study the relation of heart rate recovery after Exercise to the extent of coronary artery disease and left ventricular function. In our study, we selected (56) patients with significant coronary artery disease as proved by coronary angiography with positive exercise stress testing, in cardiology department Zagazig University, ,~ during the period from 2001 to 2002. We aimed to study the correlation of heart rate recovery time to coronary angiography and left ventricular function measured by echo Cardiography. For this objective we studied: (56) patients (48 male and 8 Female), The mean age was 51 ± 8 years, and (10) healthy subjects as a control group.
