Abstract In our study we have included 50 cases with vertebrobasilar insufficiency syndrome and another 10 healthy cases as a control group. We found that VBI disease is more common over the 60 years, more common in males than in females and vertigo was the most common presenting symptom. The left vertebral artery was found to be dominant in 70% in the healthy group. We have used the color Doppler sonography and the MR angiography to evaluate the extracranial part of the vertebral arteries . |
