Abstract

The theory of integral and integro-differential equations has closed contact with many different areas of mathematics, physics and technology and has developed significant importance during the last years, as many engineering problems of applied mechanics and applied mathematics, are reduced to the solution of such types of nonlinear equations. As in the case of general nonlinear operators, the principal approach to the study of these equations is based on various kinds of interaction processes, and in each case the basic form of the nonlinear operators is naturally taken into account. Therefore, we can study many problems by studying the corresponding integral or integro-differential equations, that is, many existence and uniqueness results can , then, be derived from the corresponding results of integral and integro-differential equations.The nonlinear singular integral and integro-differential equations are the much complicated forms of the nonlinear integral equations. It is clear that integro-differential equations is the subject, which connects the two important branches of analysis ”Integral equations” and ”Differential equations”.Due to this combination, it bears the features of both branches,however integro-differential operator is the sum of two operators one of them, the integral operator, is generally bounded and the other, the differential operator is unbounded ; therefore our theory has its own difficulties.
