Abstract The main objectives of the present study were to the influence of irrigation water quantity and application method of different levels of both nitrogen and potassium fertilizers, cultivars and plant population on the growth rate, photosynthetic pigments, plant nutritional status and yield of sweet potato tuber roots under the conditions of sandy soil. This work was carried out during the two summer seasons of 2000 and 2001 under the conditions of sandy soil at El-Khattara Experimental Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Zagazig University to study the effect of irrigation water quantity, cultivars, plant population and different rates of nitrogen and potassium fertilizers on the growth rate, photosynthetic pigments and plant nutritional status as well as the productivity of sweet potato plants. |
