Abstract A total number of 680 native breed lambs and sheep one week -4 years at Assiut and El-Minia Governorates were investigated. Out of them 150 diseased then they were died 30 clinically healthy animals slaughtered in addition to 50 samples from soil. Results: The morbidity and fatality rates of the disease was (15.87%) and (100%) respectively.cl.perfringens toxins were detected in (25 out of 150) ( 16.66%) from succumbed animals, while isolation of cl.perfringens were detected in (40 out of 150) (26.67%) from succumbed animals. The percentage of detection of cl.perfringens toxins from succumbed lambs was higher than that in succumbed adult sheep. (14 out 70) 20% in lambs and 11 out of 80 (13.75%) in adult sheep |
