Abstract Experimental birds of Egyptian local strain ( Balady) of male chicks at one day old were divided in to 4 experimental groups. Each group of 25 birds was brooded in a separate floor oen ( 1.5 x 4m). Pens were located in experimentally controlled house. The experimental diets were as follows : Group 1: control( fed with basal diet without supplementations). Group 2: ( fed basal diet + kemezyme ( 500 mg/ kg). Group4: ( fed basal diet + mixture of both kemezyme and growth promotor Albac) Mean body weight was recorded when the birds were 2,4,6,8 and 10 weeks of age. Ten randomly selected birds per each experimental diet at 10 weeks of age were anesthetized with dimethlether, perfused via heart with either 4 % glutaraldehyde,10% buffered formalin or bouin,s fluid Entire gastrointestinal tract was removed and small pieces from proventriculus, gizzard, small intestine and pancreas were taken and prepared for histological and histochemical studies . |
