Abstract The present work is assigned to study the corrosion behaviour of different types of C-Steel in hydrochloric acid solution and the inhibiting effect some compounds. The obtained results showed that the inhibition efficiency of these compounds increased by increasing their concentration and decreased by raising the temperature, so that the adsorption of these compounds is physical adsorption and follow Temkin isotherm. The inhibition efficiencies also increased by addition of potassium iodide. Some thermodynamic parameters are computed and discussed. The influence of chemical structure of these compounds on their inhibition efficiencies was discussed. |
