Abstract
The most important potential usefulness of microcapsules are their use as areservoir for drugs and many bioactive materials including living cells, enzymes and other macromolecules, for the purpose of desinging sustained release products, cell protection and isolation and artifical cells or organs microcapsules as an oral dosage form constitute an important part of the sustained release products and have been recognized as a therapeutically significant advance in dosage form design, whereby an adequate and prolonged tissue concentration of drug may be achieved..
