Abstract

Background: bronchial asthma in children is currently recognized as an important health issue Objects: provide the necessary background information about Corticosteroids in Childhood ‎Bronchial Asthma ‎ Methods and results: we clarified the role of ICS in controlling different aspects of airway ‎inflammation that may prevent airway remodeling causing fixed airway obstruction. We also ‎clarified the hazards of long term use of high doses of ICS in asthma.‎ Conclusion: Shortly after corticosteroids discovery, they became the cornerstone of asthma ‎treatment because of their excellent antiinflammatory profile that reduce the morbidity during ‎severe acute attacks, but they are associated with a range of adverse reactions, which prevent ‎steroids from being the ideal therapy for allergic asthma. Therefore inhalation glucocorticoids ‎have been developed in an attempt to reduce systemic side effects. we clarified the safe ‎doses of ICS in asthmatic children. ‎
