Abstract The ratio of propolis collection were more in summer months than in spring, autumn and winter months by strong, moderate weak colonies. Temperature affected propolis gathering, therefore the amounts of propolis were more in summer than in spring. The climax activity of brood rearing and pollen storage exist during spring for the different colonies according to their strength. High number of phenolic compounds were obtained from ethanolic extracts of propolis. Different responses were obtained for different microbial strains as affected by the propolis extracts. The values of MIC, MBC, MFC and MYC were also measured for twenty microbial strains as affected by propolis extract |
