Abstract Experiments in which phaseolus vulgaris seeds were germinated and planted in clay-sand soil (2:1 v/v) either singly or in combination with different concentrations of either ammonium sulphate, 2, 4-D or stomp herbicides; were conducted. All these experiments were designed ti ivestigate the possible effects of post emergence application of herbicides (ammonium sulphate,2,4-D or stomp),with different concentrations, on the growth, carbohydrates, nitrogen, pigments, photosynthetic activity, hormonal levels and certain enzyme activities in french bean plants at seedlind, vegatative, flowering and fruiting stages. |
