Abstract
The present work involves an extensive study on chitinase of some microogranisms isolated from egyptian soil.
The resultes obtained are summarized in the followings :
1- throughout this study thirty four species belonging to eighteen genera were isolated as chitin decomposing fungi namely.
2- the relative chitinolytic potentialities of the isolated fungi.
3- factors affecting the production and activity of the crude chitinases excreted by aspergillus carneus.
