Abstract
The present study deals essentially with the geomorphological characteristics and sedimentological properties of the Mediterranean coastal area along the Nile Delta. This area lies between longitudes 30 - 32 20’ E and latitudes 31 15’ - 31 38’ N. The present work comprises both field and laboratory studies. Field studies include mapping of the different landforms, measuring the different elements of the sedimentary structures characterizing the sediments of different depositional environments and tracing the paleowind directions through the study of the different diagnostic features.
