Abstract
The stratigraphy of the Lower Cretaceous deposist of Egypt especially those at the surface is generally unexplored. Although, few studies had been carried out on the palentology and the general stratigraphy of these rocks, the stratigraphic boundaries are still vague e. g. the Barremian - Aptian boundary is very difficult to be allocated. Even the subdivisions are not defined cleary. Therefor, we studied the Lower Cretaceous Stratigraphy of Gabal Risan Aneiza to achieve the following purposes : 1 - Subdivision of the Lower Cretaceous of Risan Aneiza into their different stages and substages. 2 - Detremination of the stratigraphic boundaries between the rock units.
