Due to the widespread use of PCE in all dry cleaning shops in Egypt and because of lack of precuationary measures to prevent exposure to its fumes, it becomes necessary to perform such work to clarify the adverse health effects which may result from occupational exposure to PCE and to recommend a suitable program for prevention of such effects. I) Human Study This study was perfbnnecf upon two groups ofm&fe w&rfcers^ t&& exposed arid the control groups. All subjects were subjected to clinical examinations. Also some clinical and laboratory investigations were done including: 1-X-ray examination of chest. 2- Pulmonary function tests. 3-ECG examinations. 4- EEG and EMG examinations. 5- Complete blood picture, liver function tests, Yidney function ess an& chromosomal analysis. The main results of this study were as follows: 7- Clinical manifestations It showed prevalence of neuropsychic manifestations among PCE exposed workers (100%), gastrointestinal (100%), chest (79.17%)eye.
