Abstract :The earleist knowledge of nutritional value of vitamin “A” stemmed from the recognition of the abnormal physiology. One of the first symptom is night blindness. In Ebers Papyrus since the ancient Egyptians around ‘0 B.C. recommended use liver as cure for night blindness. however, Hypervitaminosis “A” may result through early availability of high potency vitamin A without prescribtion. The maternaI administration of hypervitaminosis “A’ during pregnancy is a well established teratogenic procedure. The investigation about hypervitaminosis “A” on the periodontium is very rare. |
