Treatment of schistosomiasis was known since the pharonic era in egypt riad,1962. deaspite the major advances in the durg treatment of schistosomiasis made during the 15 years. none of the current schistosomicides meets all the criteria desirable for chemotherapeutic use in large scale compaigns.
