Abstract
Infection is a serious complication in patients with leukemia, it is responsible not only for mortality but also for increased morbidity. The fungi which cause most of infection in cancer patients are candida species. Early detttttection and treatment of localized candidiasis can limit morbidity and prevent candida dissemination from localized candidiasis. The aim of this study is to evaluate ketoconazale versus nystatin as treament for mucocutaneous candidiasis in leukemic children.
