Abstract
In the present work the becke-line method was used to determine the refractive indces of the outer layer of fibres. The dinterferometric methods were applied to determine the mean refractive indices and birefringence of these fibers.
Multiple beam fizeau fringes in transmission were used to determine several optical properties of Egyptian cotton fibres.
