Abstract
The present work was conducted to throw some light on the bacterial flora associated with chronic sinusitis . The study will deal with the following : isolation of the different aerobic and anaerobic bacteria in sinus aspirate from chronic sinusitis patients to identify the most predominant pathogens implicated in the disease . Measurement of the level of sICAM1 in sinus aspirate to asses its role in chronic sinusitis and to correlate its level with bacterial growth as compared with controls . It is emerged from the results of the present investigation that the determination of sICAM1 level is of considerable importance in the laboratory diagnosis of chronic sinusitis .
