Abstract The problem of the study: The problem of the study was presented in two questions: (1)What is the suggested strategy for teaching English as a foreign language to the blind pupils(2)What is the effectiveness of the suggested strategy in developing the oral language performance of the blind pupils in EFL* Aims of the study: The study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a suggested strategy based on using songs, stories in L1 and EFL using some handson activities in the development of the oral language performance of the blind pupils. * Significance of the study: 1- proposing a strategy to teach English to the blind pupils to suit their special needs and characteristics. 2 overcoming some of the problems which faces them during learning EFL. 3offering curriculum planners some ideas to design courses for developing suitable programs and strategies to teach blind pupils.* The results of the study: The results of the study indicated that the suggested strategy is effective in developing the English language oral performance of the blind pupils. |
