Abstract

Total of 24 lactating Friesian cows and were in 1st to 6nd lactation season at deferent parities ranging from the first to the third lactation. The experimental animals were used of the three days of post parturition period (colostrums suckling). The experimental animals had average live body weight of 495.66 10 kg and ranged between 3 and 8 years of age The main objectives of this study were to investigate the influence of different vacuum pressures, pulsation ratios, claw sizes and connection of duovac on milking characteristics such as milk flow, milk yield and milking time, in order to provide preliminary information for future trials on milk flow rate and milking time, also to evaluate milking machine which milking Friesian cows. The present study was carried out at Sakha Animal Production Research Station; Kafr ElSheikh Governorate .The obtained results were conducted in the following items: The obtained results could be summarized as the following: , the highest values of Machine milking yield and milking flow rate and the lowest values of stripping milk yield; stimulation time, total milking time and machine milking time were obtained with vacuum level (VL) of 52 kpa, pulsation ration (PR) 70:30, claw size (CS) of 350 cm3 and with using Duovac unit. Vacuum level from 48 to 52 kpa, changing PR from 60:40 to 70:30 and increasing CS from 150 to 350 cm3 with using Duovac resulted in the most efficiency of milking machine when friesian cows were milked. Recommended of the present study as compared to the normal factors used in Sakha farm station. Item Control Adjusted VL (kpa) PR (ratio) CS (cm3) DU (+/) 50 60:40 150 52 70:30 350 +.
