Abstract

Aims of the Study Results: Key Words: Evaluation / standards/ Instructional performance/ student teachers/ prospective teachers/STEPS Project/ Faculties of Education 1­ Evaluating prospective English teachers` instructional performance in the light of STEPS Standards. 2­ Realizing to what extent the instructional performance of prospective English teachers are affected by their awareness of standards 1­ The whole instructional performance of the prospective English language teachers was not affected by the extent of their awareness of standards. 2­ The performance of the prospective teachers in the instruction domain was not affected by the extent of their awareness of standards. 3­ The performance of the prospective English Language teachers in the language domain was not affected by the extent of their awareness of standards . 4­ The performance of the prospective teachers in the classroom management.
