Abstract Sixteen arthropods pests found attacking persimmon trees in Dakahlia Governorate, fourteen of them were insects and two others are mites. The main pests of persimmon were Icerya seychellarum , Pulvinaria psidii , Ceratitis capitata and Cryptoblabes gnidiella .Four predatory species were found associated with persimmon pests namely، The main predators found prevailing in persimmon fields was Rodolia . cardinalis The temperature and relative humidity components have effect on the abundance of persimmon fauna with a degree value varied from slight to significant either positive or negative, in according to species. The optimum temperature for mass rearing of R. cardinalis was 25 (R@(BC, because number of eggs, hatchability percentage and female longevity were highest in comparison with other treatment degrees. The temperature threshold (t0) for egg stage, first, second, third, fourth instar larvae and pupae were 10.67, 9.23, 9.60, 9.84, 11 and 10.74(R@(BC, respectively. The fourth larval instar and eggs of R. cardinalis can be stored for twenty days at 10 (R@(BC, adult and pupae stored at 6 (R@(BC for twenty days with no reduction in viability for each stages. Adult of R. cardinalis predator released in p:p ratio of 1:10 was good mealybug control with the reduction 100% after 12 days of released. |
