Abstract Four field experiments were conducted to evaluate the effect of different fertilizers, i.e. N, P. and K mineral fertilizers repeated two times in 2001 and 2002 and organic manure (compost) in 2002, on the yield, yield component, chemical composition (% and content of) in different organs and main component (guaran % and Oil %) of guar and peanut plants were cultivated in calcareous [Maryut Research Station] and sandy soil (south of ElTahreer province) conditions. Results Clear that : from the obtained results on guar plants under highly calcareous soil conditions. The best treatment was (20m3 of compost + mixture of 40 KgN + 64 Kg P2 O5 + 48 Kg K2O) / fed which recorded the highest yields of straw, pods, seeds and active material (guaran %). It is recommended that using this treatment under certain conditions of calcareous soil of highly importance. Also, from the obtained results on peanut plants grown on sandy soil. The best treatment was (20 m3 of compost + mixture of 30 Kg N + 32 Kg P2 O5 + 48 Kg K2O) / fed recorded as it gave the highest yields of straw, pods, seeds, oil yield as well as oil%. Thus we recommended such treatment under soil conditions for growing peanut. |
