Abstract We reviewed different protocols of therapy for the management of steroid responsive and steroid resistance NS, in order to give the best care to patient and families, we need to integrate the highest quality scientific evidence with clinical expertise and the opinions of the family, by assisting practicing clinicians and providing ??evidencebased?? answers to common questions. We reviewed current published four evidencebased studies for childhood NS, to help us to make the most reliable decisions. We found that, children in their first episode of NS should be treated for at least three months up to seven months of prednisone treatment, would be expected to reduce the number of children experiencing a relapse by about 40%. However, in children with relapsing SSNS, eight weeks courses of CYC or CHC and prolonged courses of CsA and levamisol reduce the risk of relapse compared with corticosteroids alone. |
