Abstract
New tumor markers are required to investigate the diagnosis, progress and early detect the gastrointestinal tumor for them, we compare the sensitivity of CEA, CA242, CA 199 and AFP for different tumors (50 colorectal, 27 pancreatic, 18 stomach and 13 hepatic cancer) and we concluded that: 1. In colorectal cancer patients both CEA and CA242 are the best tumor maker 2. In Pancreatic cancer patients CA199 is the best with Ras gene. 3. For hepato cellular carcinoma, only AFP and none of them have sensitivity for gastric cancer.
