Abstract
In this thesis, several fused indenes such as indenopyridine, indenopyran, indenothiophene, fluoreneoxime, pyrazoloindenotriazine, indenopyridazine, indenoisoxazole and indenopyrazole derivatives have been synthesized via reacting cyclic ketones with the ylidenenitriles and active methylene reagents as starting materials. The structure of the newly synthesis compounds were established on the basis of their elemental analysis and spectral data.
