Abstract

Data of the present study demonstrated that the investigated water locality at El Sahel canal is more metal (Cr, Ni, Zn & Cu) polluted than Gizzerrhat El Ward area at the river Nile. Consequently,the tested fishes (Bagrus bayad , Clarias gariepinus,, Oreochromis niloticus) showed worse physiological status than those from the Nilelocality indicated by accumulation of metals in canal fish muscles than Nile ones ,depletion of protein&glycogen contents in liver
