Abstract The thesis comprises 241 pages, 63 tables, 14 figures and 241 references in 8 sections. The first section is the introduction to declare the concept of harmful effect of the heavy metals on the marine environment sources of them and their way to reach to the human beings and animals. The principal aim of the work is to determine some heavy metals in Suez canal water, sediments and biota. Also, the effect of landbased impacts on the marine environment, The second section contained the literature dealing with the marine environmental pollution in regions relevant to the area of investigation. The third section was devoted to the experiments, equipment, chemicals, instruments and location of getting samples. The fourth section was devoted to the results and discussion with trials to bound the results with phenomena in the area of investigation. Recommendations were given in the fifth section to stop disposing pollutants and to decrease the landbased impacts in Suez canal |
