Abstract This study was conducted in order to evaluate the effect of filler added to adhesive systems on the shear bond strength to dentin. Also in the present study the hybrid layer was evaluated by the laser Raman spectroscopy. Methods: A total of 60 freshly extracted non-carious human molar teeth were selected for the study. Teeth were embeded in self-curing epoxy resin. The buccal surfaces were ground flat using diamond disc under running water as a coolant. Teeth were divided into three main groups accroding to the adhesive systems used. The following adhesive systems ; prime &Bond2.1(unfihled), Optibond Solo (microfihled) and XenoIII (nanofilled) were applied to the specimen surface according to the manufacture’s nstructions. The composite resin was applied to the surface and light ured. Shear bond strength test was performed using the universal testing achine. Then the fractured surfaces were examianed by the binocular zreomicroscope and some selected samples were examianed by the SEM. In order to evaluate the hybrid layer using the Raman spectroscopy, a rcal of 30 freshly extracted non-carious human molar teeth were rbeded in self-cure epoxy resin, the occlusal surfaces were ground flat i wet grinding. Teeth were divided into three groups. |
