Abstract When psychotic symptoms occur during childhood they are so confusing, as they may be misdiagnosed with some normal phenomna which may occur this developmental age. Also, these psychotic symptoms can occur in various childhood psychiatric disorders for example; schizophrenia, psychotic affective disorders and autism. This study included four main chapters: The first chapter discussed historical and nosological aspects of clinical symptomatology of childhood psychosis. The second chapter was focused on psychotic symptoms in childhood schizophrenia. The third chapter, we go further, in discussing the clinical picture of psychotic symptoms in childhood Bipolar and depressive disorders. The fourth chapter we reviewed the historical relation ship between schizophrenia and autism. |
