Abstract
This work is carried out to study the long-term of ethylestradiol on the histological structure the uterus in non-ovariectomized and ovariectomized It albino rat. Forty adult female albino rats weighting. 1-300 gm were used. They were isolated completely from as and divided into four groups. Each contains 10 males. Animals of group I were used as control. group animals received a daily oral dose of oestradiol for 3 weeks. Animals of group III were exposed bilateral ovariectomy and in group IV the animals were set to bilateral ovariectomy and immediately received daily oral dose of ethylestradiol l for j weeks. At end of the third week the animals of each group were sacrificed and their uteri were prepared for paraffin injections and stained with Haemntoxylin and eosin, Verhocff’s and periodic acid Schiff reaction for histologically. The diameter of the lumen and the thickness of the metrium and myometrium of each group were calculated Sing an ocular micrometer. In ethylestradiol treated non ovariectomized the endometrium showed many folds with tall columnar helical lining. The endometrial glands became numerous different sizes and shapes.
