Abstract Early pregnancy loss is one of the most important problems that may face family , especially recurrent cases. Many causes are responsible for recurrent early pregnancy loss: - Genetic causes - Anatomic causes - Immunologic causes - Infective causes - Others I Immunologic factors are the most important and most frequent causes of recurrent early pregnancy loss. It accounts for more than 50% of these cases. Many immunologic causes are responsible, some are due to humoral mechanisms, others due to cellular mechanisms. Two categories are considered to be recurrent early pregnancy loss of immunologic causes. The first: when immunolgic cause in either partners is present and known to explain such losses. The second: when three or more unexplained losses occur with no more than one live birth with the same partner. The most important of these immunolgic factors are the antiphosolipid antibodies (APAs). Many APAs have been defined as a direct cause of recurrent early pregnancy loss .. they are frequently associated with thrombosis (the antiphosphlipid antibodies syndrome). |
