Abstract

Low back pain is a common medical problem. It accounts 30 to % of rheumatic complaint in general medical practice (Wood and tavleish, 1974). Heliovaara et al. (1987) found that the prevalence of mbar disc syndrome were 5.3% in men and 3.70/0 in women aged 30 it over. Furthermore, he determined the prevalence of definite lumbar isc herniation of about 1.9% in men and 1.30/0 in women. Lumbar intervertebral disc herniation IS a common condition a favorable prognosis in the majority of circumstances (Saal, ;996). Saal and Saal (1989) showed that 960/0 of those with discogenic diculopathy returned to good function with conservative therapeutic eans while the other 40/0 need surgery. A wide variety of non-operative treatments are advocated in the anagement of lumbar disc lesions bed rest, medical drugs, traction, anipulation, external supports, physical modalities and trigger point njection. Unfortunately, the multiplicity of treatment methods implies he absence of a definite effective potential treatment program (Avital Fast, 1988 and Deyo, 1997). In spite of, those patients underwent surgery, who achieve their degree of relief more rapidly than patients treated conservatively. It ’has been shown that the overall long-term relieve of sciatica.
