Abstract Inhalational anesthesia avoiding the use of neuromuscular blocking agent, probably represents the most popular technique. Certain myasthenic patients may show inadequate relaxation with potent inhaled, in which case a balanced technique involving muscle relaxants may be selected. The intermediate duration relaxants, atracurium and vecuronium, have been safely used in patients with M.G. The use of thoracic or lumber epidural anesthesia in combination with light general anesthesia has been reported to provide excellent intra and post operative conditions. |
