Abstract Hernia at various sites continue to be one of the main challenges which surgeons face. Among all types of hernias inguinal hernia repair respresenr the oldest and most common operations in the surgical practice, and presence of different operative techniques for repair indicating that there is no ideol herniorrhaphy. The aim of this study is to evaluate the different types of herniorrhaphy. Despite the recent advances in the basis of inguinal herniorrhaphy, namely the much new in, groin anatomy and embryolob’Y, the physiology of repair and the mechanics of sutures and materials, we are still faced with patients complaining of hernia. In this study we found that there is no big differences among all types of herniorrhaphy, and the results of surgery dependmainly on the surgeon’ skills for this reason we advise to do any type or repair provided that, the patient well prepared preoperanvely and details of operative techniques well done |
