Abstract
Since a number of investigations have indicated that opioids in some circumstances, significantly alter cardiac functions (Alderman et al., 1972 and Lee et al., 1976), this experimental work was conducted to study the interaction btctween cardiac glycosides and some opioids on the cardiovascular system. Also, the avai¬lable literature about this topic is not sufficient.The study was performed on experimental animals using d Lgox Ln and the opioids , pentazocine and butorp¬hanoI exploring their effects and the possible intera¬ction on the cardiovascular system both in vitro.
