Abstract The material of the present study comprised 99 patients with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL), divi¬ded to two groups : Group ”I” (40 cases) treated with protocol ”1” Group ”II” (59 cases) treated with protocol ”2”. Each group was subdivided to two subgroups, bad prognosis cases and good prognosis cases according to the score value of each patient (more or < 5). These cases were diagnosed and treated during the period from January, 1978 to May, 1986, in the Hematology Unit of Paediatric Department, Mansoura University Hospital • Thorough analysis of clinical and prognostic crit¬eria of both groups were carried out, and the results of this study are the following * Most cases of both groups have score value « 5) (good prognosis). * Induction of a remission succeeded more in protocol ”2”” and failure of remission occured more in protocol ”1”. * Relapse occured mo re with pro to co 1 ”2”. |
