Abstract All patients with prImary and secondary bone tumours registered in Orthopaedic Department during 1985 -1989 (169 cases), were the material of this study. It has been found that the incidence of bone tumours in Mansoura University Hospital was 12.8 per million / year of all population. Benign bone tumours accounted for 56.22% of all bone tumours the commonest pathologic type was osteochondroma accounting for 10.06% of all cases. Malignant bone tumours accounted for 43.78% of all bone tumour, the commonest prImary malignant bone tumour was osteosarcoma accounting for 17.75% of all cases. |
