Abstract
The aim of this study is to assess some important chnacter of prodromes in mood disorder. In this study one hundred patients suffering from mood disorders were selected from outpatient and inpatient psychiatric Department of Mansoura University Hospital according to the following inclusive criteria : primary mood disorder, currently manic or depressive) at least one previous affective episode, both male and female were included of different age groups. It was observed that 60 % of the studied group diagnosis as having manic episode, while 40 % of them having depressive episode. The mean age of group of patients was 33.8 + 10.9 in depressive group while it was 34.01 + 11.1 in manic group.
