Abstract
The aim of the present study is to utilize echocardiography with all its different modalitiesto assess right ventricular funo t.Lon and morphology in patients with acute rheumatic fever. The material of the present study comprised 35 patients with acu~e rheumatic fever, 16 males and 19 females with age ranging from 5-16 years (mean 10 years). Cases were selected from the inpatients of the Pediatric Department, Internal Medicine Department and outpatient Clinics of Mansoura University Hospital. The tst group was divided into: Group I: Included 12 patients presented with acute rheumatic carditis. Group II: Included 17 patients presented with rheumatic arthritis. Group III: Included 6 patients presented with rheumatic chorea.
