Abstract Diabetic nephropathy is a common complication of diabetes mellitus .Hemorheology is the science of the flow properties of blood under physiologic and pathologic conditions. In spite of the importance of hemorheology in different diseases , a dearth of literatures had focused on hemorheologic changes in diabetic nephropathy . This trigerred us to construct this work : sixty patients with diabetic nephropathy , ten diabetics without micro albuminuria and ten normal controls of matched age and sex were studied . The selected patients were not suffering from any conditions that would affect the hemorheological parameters other than diabetic nephropathy . The seventy diabetic patients were classified into 2 main groups : Group I : thirty one patients with micro albuminuria (20 - 200 ug/min), Group II : twenty nine patients with macro albuminuria (> 200 ug/min ), and ten diabetic patients without microalbuminuria.All patients and controls were subjected to through medical examination, and investigations which include: fasting, 2 hours post prandial blood sugar, serum I creatinine, creatinine clearance ,CBC ,complete lipogram , |
