Abstract This work was conducted on fifty two (52) patients with chronic liver eases whom selected from in-patient and out-patient medical department, ansoura University Hospital. They were 39 males and 13 females with age ranging between 14-60 Patients were classified into three subgroups : I. Twinty four (24) patients were chronic non hepatitis B or C and non bilharzial . .. II. Eleven (11) patients were non B non C non bilharzial. III. Seventeen (17) patients were chronic viral B or C. We found that group I gave more tendency for enlarged liver, less dency for splenomegaly and also less tendency for hepatocellular failure. Ultrasonographic profile of the liver in group I had ascertined what had n met with during clinical examination that entailed a good sector of cases I ich look normal and possibly enlarged (20.8%), it has added the detection :fatty liver in about one quarter of cases, which had not been met with in Pathological assessment of group I further more had revealed specifically presence of fatty in,Jiltration in (15%) of patients beside the particular ntioning of autoimmune hepatitis in one fifth of cases. |
