Abstract
The outstanding result in this work is the math¬ematical proof of an inherited autosomal dominant tendency to secrete sebum both in seborrhoeic derma¬titis and seborrhoea. The exact aetiology of seborrhoeic dermatitis was unknown, but the underlying cause is oversecre-tion of sebum* Some authors reported that the seborrhoeic state which constitutes the essential predisposing factor may be genetically determined, but the mode of inher¬itance is unknown. This study included 120 patients with seborrhoe-io dermatitis, and 28 with extensive seborrhoea* Every one of these patients was subjected to the following: 1. Detailed structured questioimare. 2.
